W&M Glen Elgin (2012-2024) - Classic Selection

This Speyside Single Malt has spent its last 30 months in first-fill Pedro Ximenez casks, giving it just the right amount of fruity richness. On the nose, it reveals light, barely vinified grape notes, accompanied by a deep, aromatic note of herbs and old books. On the palate, it is very velvety, yet still opulent. The balance between the sweetness of honey and plums, the oak, and the minerality is perfect. Full-bodied and rich, it also remains very smooth and fresh. It only becomes slightly more tannic and peppery on the finish.
