As classic as an Islay Single Malt can be. Aged in refill casks, it is then gently softened and rounded off by a 32-month finish in first-fill bourbon hogsheads. This whisky is intense, highly aromatic, and remarkably balanced.

As classic as an Islay Single Malt can be. Aged in refill casks, it is then gently softened and rounded off by a 32-month finish in first-fill bourbon hogsheads. This whisky is intense, highly aromatic, and remarkably balanced.

On the nose, the peat smoke is initially discreet, masked by the alcohol and the pronounced fruitiness (pears, bananas, lemon peel). Even with a little water, it integrates perfectly with the other aromas. However, the tarry, ashy smoke reveals itself immediately on the first sip, without ever becoming a peat "monster." The sweetness in the background softens it and makes it easy to drink, blending harmoniously with fresh, balsamic, and intense touches of mint and camphor.

The finish is long, persistent and warm, evolving towards an increasingly ashy sensation.

Nose: Lightly smoky, fruity

Mouth: Balanced peat, fresh notes of balsamic, mint and camphor.
