W&M Benrinnes (2014-2023) - Classic Selection

A delicious, medium-bodied, and well-balanced Speyside Single Malt, finished for 27 months in a first-fill Oloroso butt cask. Due to the larger butt cask, the wine's influence is more subtle than if the whisky had been aged in a smaller cask. On the nose, farmhouse notes emerge, followed by the pleasant acidity of peaches and young apricots, with a hint of orange. On the palate, the notes are very dry, with a rather astringent edge and a touch of minerality. The whisky remains fresh, light, floral, and easy to enjoy. There is a delicate aroma of herbal tea and a hint of balsamic vinegar. The finish is long, still very dry, spicy, and appetizing.
